the church for our Christmas services. Bring clippers,

Pastor Ethan McCardell Signing Books at Grand Book and Bible

November 3, 2006 — (New Castle, PA) Ethan McCardell, pastor of the Sower’s Chapel in Sarver, PA, will be meeting readers and signing copies of his book, Be of Good Cheer: Discovering the Redeeming Quality of Struggle, at the Grand Book and Bible bookstore in New Castle, PA on November 27, 2006 from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.

In his book, Pastor McCardell discusses his view of God’s ability to make His presence known in the life of any person in any circumstance - and any faith - if they are receptive to Him.

“God created you because He loves you,” McCardell says. “He created you to go to heaven if you want to be with Him. On a deep, spiritual level, people know this and want a relationship with God, but don’t know how to get there.”

McCardell describes his book as a tool to help people enrich and deepen their spiritual lives and strengthen their connection with God. The book, organized as a 21-day devotional road map, reviews the spiritual history of the human race and discusses how this relates to each person’s walk with God.

“As a Christian pastor, I have what you might call a ‘temptation ministry,’” McCardell says. “Every lesson we learn about our relationship with God can be summed up in how we deal with challenge or, as the Bible calls it, temptation. The knowledge we have about who God is and how He works continually for our salvation helps us overcome temptation in all its forms.”

Copies of Be of Good Cheer will be available, along with coffee and light refreshments. There will be time for conversation afterward at the bookstore at:
